April 1, 2010 (Calcutta Tube): Vijay has decided to release his 51st film – a remake of Malayalam blockbuster ‘Bodyguard’ on the same day when Rajnikanth’s magnum opus ‘Endhiran’ hits the screens. Meanwhile, Sun Pictures is planning to release its 50th film ‘Sura’ on April 14 so as to draw more audiences during summer vacations.

When most of the actors keep a low-profile when the films of superstars are hitting screens, actor Vijay always seems to be an exception. He does always assure that good films are well received by audiences.

Earlier, Vijay had released his ‘Sachin’ along with Rajnikanth’s ‘Chandramukhi’ and Kamal Haasan’s ‘Mumbai Express’.

Of course, ‘Sachin’ turned to be a box office disaster as it couldn’t withstand the realms of ‘Chandramukhi’. But nothing seems to have affected the Ilayathalapathy and he’ll release his 51st film on the same occasion as decided now.
