Mumbai, Nov 30 (Calcutta Tube / IBNS): Bollywood actor Vidya Balan has come a long way since her debut Hindi movie ‘Parineeta’ through her ace performance and her choice of versatile roles. Her upcoming film ‘The Dirty Picture’, which is all ready to hit the theatres on Dec 2, is yet another proof of the same.
Directed by Milan Luthria and produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor, the film is a Bollywood biopic on the life of the late South Indian enchantress, dancer Silk Smitha.
Apart from Vidya Balan, the film’s cast also includes Naseeruddin Shah, Tusshar Kapoor and Emraan Hashmi in lead roles.
Moreover, the film has a lot of adult material and this is quite apparent from the promos being aired on the television.
However, the 33-year old actress in an interview said that the age difference between Naseeruddin and her did not matter much while shooting intimate scenes.
She even praised the senior actor quoting him as ‘brilliant’ and ‘living legend’ and said that when one faces an actor like Naseeruddin, he can make one believe in anything.
Adding to this, she said that the 61-year old actor made her comfortable and claimed that these scenes were the requirement of the script and the story.
The actress, who had earlier worked in serious roles in films like ‘No One Killed Jessica’ and ‘Paa’, also said that the film apart from being an exhausting one in terms of work involved was fun as well. She couldn’t control her laughter while dancing amidst oranges and pots and posing like old sculptures.
With the promos look like this one is ‘must-see’, let’s see what the film really unfolds in theatres.
