Kolkata, Nov 24 (Calcutta Tube/IBNS) Celebrating 150th birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore, Kolkata based Jahnavi Centre For Performing Arts on Thursday performed his play ‘Red Oleander’ or ‘Rakto Karobi’ to pay a tribute to the world bard.
Artistes like Manoj Murali Nair and Madhuboni Chatterjee staged ‘Rakto Karobi’ as a dance drama.
The play revolves around Nandini, a girl with eternal beauty and spontanity, played by Madhuboni Chatterjee and the brutal king who doesn’t properly utilize his power and is a lonely person (played by Manoj Murali Nair).
The play was directed and choreographed by Madhuboni Chatterjee, while the music was scored by Manoj Murali Nair.
