Kolkata, Aug 8 (Calcutta Tube/IBNS): A new talent hunt contest titled, ‘Pailan Group Poto Anadolok Bengal’s Most Talented, was launched on Saturday to pick future Tollywood (Bengali film industry) actors.
The winners of the contest, (one male and a female), will get the opportunity to act in the upcoming movie ‘Punarutthan’ , alongside the most dazzling line up of Tollywood and Bollywood actors like Rituparna Sen Gupta, Priyangshu Chatterji, Victor Banerjee, Raza Murad and Dolon Roy.
“It is perhaps the first talent show where the winners are going to shoot a film from the very next day of winning the contest,” said Rishi Mukerjee, director of the movie ‘Punarutthan’.
“The film will definitely do well. I wish my luck to Rishi and Apurba Saha,” actor Tapas Pal said.
Talking about his idea behind thisn talent hunt, producer of the film Apurba Saha, who is also the CMD of the Pailan Group, said: “I want to develop the film market in Bengal by adding skilled man power in this industry.”
The young talents, who will win the talent hunt competition, will not only get an opportunity to act in a movie but they will also receive a cash price of Rs 25,000 each.
“I feel lucky and honoured to be able to work with new talents,” said the glamorous Rituparna Sen Gupta, who was also present at the event.
Asked about his first Bengali film, veteran Bollywood actor Raza Murad said: “I always wanted to act in a Bengali movie and I am really happy to be part of this film.”
Full of praises for Rituparna, Murad said: “One has to work hard to reach a destination and it is even harder to maintain that success and Rituparna has successfully done it.”
During the course of the contest, the participants would undergo numerous training sessions which includes basics of acting, voice modulation, screen presence, gymming and all other aspects needed to establish oneself in the film industry.
Popular composer Ravindra Jain will compose the music for the flick.
