SRK confirms role in Bharadwaj’s adaptation of ‘Two States’

Mumbai, Dec 17 (Calcutta Tube) Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan confirmed Friday that he is teaming up with filmmaker Vishal Bharadwaj for his screen adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s bestseller ‘Two States’.

‘Yes, I am doing Vishal Bharadwaj’s movie which is an adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s ‘Two States’. The progress is confirmed, but reports have been stating that the deal has already been signed… but that is yet to take place,’ Shah Rukh told IANS on the sidelines of Imagine TV’s launch of his television show ‘Zor Ka Jhatka’.

The actor says talks on the project aren’t recent.

‘We (Vishal and I) have been in constant touch for the same since the past two years,’ he said.

It should be an interesting movie that has India’s most commercially viable actor and critically acclaimed director, who is popular for rustic projects like ‘Omkara’ and ‘Kaminey’, working together.

  1. 2 States is such a wonderful book by Chetan Bhagat and I was quite excited about a movie being made on it. However, the inclusion of Shahrukh Khan in the movie has totally disappointed me. On man, its such a disaster.

  2. Interested to enact the role of Ananya. It reminds me of my own outspoken, daring, endearing and vibrant character apart from being very very fair and attractive san makeup and qualified software engineer and MBA Finance Professional. All these traits are part of the charater in the book. I have already read the book and enjoyed every bit of it. I would feel good if I get this offer.
