Mumbai, Sept 22 (Calcutta Tube / IBNS) Sony Entertainment Television (SET) on Thursday said it has consolidated its strong No 2 General Entertainment Channel (GEC) position for the fifth consecutive week and is on an all time high with 271 GRP’s this week, distancing itself from Colors with a difference of 52 GRPs and becoming strikingly close to the No 1 slot with a difference of only 21 GRPs.
SET remains the clear leader in primetime with 165 Gross Rating Points (GRPs), leading by 27 GRPs over Star Plus which scored 137 GRPs.
The dream run continues with KBC (Kaun Banega Crorepati) being the No 1 Show on Indian Television with an Average TRP of 5.4 followed by Bade Achhe Lagte Hain as the slot leader with 3.9 TRP’s, Saas Bina Sasuraal averaging at 2.3, CID continued to thrill audience with 3.1, Crime Patrol at 3.2 and recently launched Prayaschit averaging at 2.1 GRPs.
“The strong line up of shows in both categories of fiction and non-fiction propelled Sony to a very strong No 2 position among Hindi General Entertainment Channels and SET eyes the NO 1 position with its latest offerings in the next few weeks to come,” said an official spokesperson.
