Shuno Baronari is a Bengali film directed by Ajay Kar starring Uttam Kumar and Supriya Debi. The movie also starts Chhabi Biswas, Tulsi Chakraborty, Jahar Roy, Nripati Chatterjee and more. Rabin Chatterjee is the music director of the Bangla movie and Hemanta Mukherjee, Sumitra Sen, Shyamal Mitra are playback singers. The story is written by Subodh Ghosh. Shuno Baronari is one of the low profile Uttam Kumar movies that revolves around love and relationship. This may not the be the best of Uttam Kumar movie but worth watching for beautiful Supriya Debi.

Supriya Chowdhury (Supriya Debi) plays the role of a rich daughter (Juthika) of a rich father Charubabu, played by Chhabi Biswas. Supriya Debi has to go to patna for some reason but Chhabi Biswas can not find anyone to escort her on her way. Finally he asks Himadri, a young fellow played by Uttam Kumar, to take Supriya Debi to Patna. In the beginning Supriya Debi (Juthika) does not like Himadri (Uttam Kumar) but as their journey begins the come more more closer and finally fall in love. But they never propose to each other.
However, Uttam Kumar is not rich enough to meet that standard of Charubabu’s family status. Charubabu (Chhabi Biswas) finalizes the marriage of his daughter to Naren (played by Dipak Mukherjee) who is already married and has a daughter. Supriya Debi does not accept the marriage proposal from her dad and goes to Uttam Kumar. However, Uttam Kumar refuses to accept beautiful Suprita.
Chabi Biswas comes to know about the affair between Uttam Kumar and Supriya Debi. He asks Uttam Kumar to leave but also loses his daughter as Supriya escorts Uttam Kumar this time.
