Mumbai, May 17 (Calcutta Tube / IBNS) Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) president Vilasrao Deshmukh said Thursday that Bollywood film star Shah Rukh Khan was indisciplined and the managing committee will decide whether to impose a life ban on him from entering the Wankhede Stadium.
Deshmukh, a former chief minister of Maharashtra, said he has asked for a detailed report on the incident.
“Shah Rukh was not there when the match finished. It is not up to me to take a decision. I have asked for a detailed report. The issue is serious. MCA has recommended for a life ban on SRK. He was indisciplined. We will sort out the issue at the earliest,” said Deshmukh.
“The managing committee has suggested ban on SRK. Managing Committee will decide what action to take on SRK brawl. I was not present when the alleged incident occurred. However, MCA officials complained about SRK’s behaviour,” he added.
MCA treasurer Ravi Sawant said Shah Rukh misbehaved and abused the MCA security personnel as well as MCA officials, including president Vilasrao Deshmukh, after the IPL match (between KKR and Mumbai Indians).
“We have decided to ban him for life from entering the stadium in future. He was dead drunk, our security tried to stop him but he pushed him and abused in such filthy language that I cannot use it here. Our officials tried to pacify him but he started abusing them, he abused MCA, BCCI and used the ‘f’ word and said whatever you want to do you do it,” Sawant added.
Shah Rukh got into a brawl with MCA and BCCI officials after his team defeated Mumbai Indians in an Indian Premier League (IPL) match Wednesday night.
