28th June 2009 Mumbai: Jewellery is an integral part of a woman’s wardrobe. Every woman dreams of having the best jewels in her collection. Keeping this in mind, Golecha Jewels unveils its first showroom in Mumbai at Turner Road, Bandra which is a visual feast to their customers. Besides Mumbai, Golecha Jewels is also located in Jaipur and Amby Valley Pune.

The Bandra showroom was inaugurated by Shabana Azmi on 27 June by watering a plant. It was Azmi’s idea as she has always been sensitive to environment and preferred to plant a tree rather than cut the standard red ribbon. “The ribbon has nothing to do with our culture” said Azmi who later lit the brass lamp placed inside the showroom

The dream began in 1994. Vijay-Sandeep Golecha of Jaipur were inspired by India’s traditional beauty and decided to recreate it as exquisite designs available in Pearls, Rubies, and Emeralds with rose cut and uncut Diamond

Golecha Jewels are not only specialist in creating ethnic looks, but are also pioneers in various fields, such as launching original jewellery in Indian movies, prior to that eminence and high end jewellery was missing from it. They had also started this into practice with Bollywood film like “UMRAO JAAN” starring with Shabana Azmi, Aishwarya Rai, and Abhishek Bacchan, Golecha creations were worn by each and every artist of the film, after that it was seen in “Drona” – (Starring – Abhishek Bacchan, Jaya Bacchan and Priyanka Chopara, Luck by Chance (Dimple Kapadia) and that is followed by many more films.

Golecha Jewels have also been energetically involved in weddings: an important part of Indian traditions, till date they have supplied their creations to numerous weddings ceremony to increase the aura of brides.

At the launch,Mr Vijay Golecha said, “ Its really a memorable moment for us as we unveil our first showroom in Mumbai. Mumbai is the main market for us, There is a huge demand for both traditional as well as contemporary jewellery designs in Mumbai. And I hope that we would be successful in catering to the needs of the customers over here.
