Royal Stag adds digital view of Durga Puja

Kolkata, Oct 4 (Calcutta Tube / IBNS): Liquor brand Royal Stag is bringing in an entirely new concept of digital Durga Puja Awards this year with the ‘Royal Stag Mega Pujo Awards 2011″.

Contestants can enter online and viewers from across the world will vote and choose the best pujo via social networking site Facebook or on the Royal Stag website.

The selection of the best puja will be based on the ‘soul’ of the puja than on the size or budget of the pandal.

To add to the colours of festivity, online entries of photos and essays and the capturing of a moment in the festivities of time could win a contestant an exclusive Royal Stag Mega Music audio CD that has been recorded specially for this award.

This is an album with Asha Audio, which will hold a compilation of pujo songs and contains an exclusive song by Anupam Roy, popular writer, composer and singer from Kolkata.

“If one has a pujo story or a picture of a pujo they would like to share, one can share it online. No matter how small the pandal, what holds significance is if the spirit of the pujo is large,” says Anupam Roy.

Sumit Roy, the person who conceptualized the entire concept said: ”The idea is to find talented artists and designers from across the world and across pujos, who never get the limelight due to restricted budgets. This has been designed to make it the largest awards ever and have a reach like never before.”
