Patna, Feb 9 (IANS) A rice trader was shot dead in a Bihar village by a man who was later caught by villagers and beaten to death, police said Tuesday.

Vinay Kumar was shot dead at Gargat village in Rohtas district late Monday night.

The villagers caught the criminal when he was trying to flee and beat him to death.

Police have lodged cases in both incidents.
