Rajinikanth in ‘Kolaveri Di’?

Chennai, Dec 2 (IBNS): If you think that spotting every person next to you humming the super hit song ‘Kolaveri di’ was all, wait a minute because there’s more to this one.

The buzz has it that the Tamil superstar Rajinikanth has been roped to in to do a cameo in the film ‘3’, to which the song belongs and apart from this the actor will also be appearing in one of the sequences of the song.

‘Kolaveri Di’ has become such a huge success that within a week of the official release of the video, it received more than 1.3 million views on YouTube, more than 1 million shares on Facebook, while trending in India on Twitter the whole time.

Sometime back, there were talks that Rajini has been advised continued bed rest until February next year following which his ambitious project ‘Rana’, which also stars Deepika Padukone, has been shelved.

But it is believed that the 61-year old actor is so overwhelmed by the success of the song that when daughter Aishwarya, who is making her directorial debut with this film, and son-in-law Dhanush requested him to do a special appearance, he couldn’t refuse despite his health problems.

Reportedly, three videos of for the song will be shot, probably in December, and then the best one will be selected to feature in the film.

Lately, Rajinikanth appeared in the Bollywood science-fiction film ‘Ra.One’ in a cameo appearance alongside Shahrukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor.
