Raj Chakraborty wins Best Director 2009 Anandalok Award
Bengali Filmmaker Raj Chakraborty wins the Best Director 2009 Anandalok Award for “Challenge”. The film Challenge helped Jeet Ganguly to receive Best Music Director Award, helped DEV to receive Best Action Hero Award and Best Actor Award. It was total success for Shree Venkatesh Films.
Meer requested Dipankar Dey to come to the stage and announce the Best Director award.
Raj Chakraborty: “This award is very important to me. I was nominated twice when I used to make telefilms. I came to accept the award. But I could not get a seat. I kept standing at the end of the hall and left the room when I found that I did not receive any award. I am feeling proud because Shree Venkatesh Films-Shrikantda, Monida believed myself to be capable of directing films. So they made me a film director. Three persons have tremendous contributin behind my career as a film director. Chanda Guha – whithout her I would not be a film director. Rajib Chatterjee – he game me the confidence to talk on the stage. Shrikant Mohta – who taught me the meaning of Bengali Commercial films. So. I believe this award is actually for them. Thank you so much.:
