The story of a little mouse named Wagner who has a hard day on the April Fool’s day. His best friend Pearl fools him, so does librarian Mr. Fox, the cafeteria man Mr. Milk and so on.

It is a day when everyone is playing a little trick on another. Pearl loves it, but Wagner does not. It does not turn out to be a good day for him- their class teacher Ms. Star gives them a math test, Wagner does not get a right dance partner, drinks bug juice. Even though he thinks these are all part of the April Fools, they turn to be real! Poor Wagner! But he does not give up. To find out how Wagner fools everyone read the book.

Funny book for young readers and the illustrations by R W Alley are so very good.
