Bean & Leaf Café/Roastery in New London will be featuring “Pather Panchali” by Satyajir Ray in a Tuesday-evening series of of foreign films. Some of the other movies in this special sceering event are “City of God” by Fernando Meirelles (2002), “La Strada” by Federico Fellini (1954), “The White Balloon” by Jafar Panahi (1995) and more.
April 28: “Pather Panchali,” the first movie in Satyajit Ray’s Apu Trilogy, about the adventures of a boy in turn-of-the-century India. The 1955 classic is 115 minutes, in Bengali with subtitles and unrated.
