‘Patalghar’ (2003) is a Bengali film based on the novel by Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay and directed superbly by Abhijit Chowdhury. Patalghar is one of the few children’s film made in Bengali. The story is a masterpiece by Shirshendu, and has wonderful characters and the science fiction component makes it even more special. The film has a good cast with actors like Soumitra Chattopadhyay, Kharaj Mukhopadhyay, Manu Mukhopadhyay, Mita Vashisth, Biplab Chattopadhyay, and others and a very strong script and wonderful music. It is a movie that deserves watching!
