Kolkata, Nov 2 (Calcutta Tube / IBNS) Kolkata-based Pailan Group chairman Apurba Saha on Tuesday said they are ready to lend support to the West Bengal government in revamping the state’s falling academic standard.
The Pailan’s flagship educational institution tied up with premier education service provider Pearson Schools to provide world class education in eastern region, particularly in the state.
Pearson CEO Meena Ganesh at a press conference said: “Pearson tied up with Pailan to provide world class educational facility to students at an affordable price in the eastern part of the country.”
Saha said that if the government was looking for Public-Private Partnership in education to improve state education system they are ready to come forward.
He said the state’s students have enough potential to make a mark on the world map, but lack of proper infrastructure and world class teaching was holding them back.
He said the Pailan is going to extend their education chain and will invest Rs.200 cr in next few years.
They will start four institutes in Agartala,Siliguri, Ranchi and Patna, he informed.
