New Delhi, Oct 23 (Calcutta Tube) It’s not just children who are looking forward to unleashing their creativity and imagination with kids’ channel POGO’s art show M.A.D — show-host Rob reveals that parents and grandparents too are great followers of the show.
‘Our show does target children falling in the age group of four to 14 but surprisingly we receive mails from parents and more so from grandparents regarding certain queries that they face. The graph of the show has been expanded vastly with coming in of adults,’ Rob told IANS over phone from Mumbai.
The eighth season of kids’ art show M.A.D is slated to go on air on POGO from Oct 24 every Sunday at 10.30 a.m.
So, what is it that makes the show appealing for all?
‘We simplify the complicated techniques and make them user-friendly and easy to understand – which can also be tagged as the USP (unique selling proposition) of the show. Our basic motive is to make our viewers follow the instructions in the easiest way possible,’ he said.
Rob, who is the brain behind the innovative ideas that are showcased on the show, said the new season is peppered with new segments.
‘A lot of brainstorming goes behind the innovative and eye-catchy ideas that we bring on television. But that is what the show is all about. This season we are bringing out even more better and rare activities,’ said Rob.
‘We have special new segments in the show called Re-make, Make it easy and Challenge Rob. We will focus on how to make utmost use of recycled material, how to recycle different objects and add beauty to the final product,’ he added.
When asked how the richness of Indian tradition in art and craft sector can be explored and exposed differently, he said: ‘It’s time we outgrow from the regular primitive ideology and try new ways to give a twist to the basic activities. We need to come out of the old school techniques.’
