Chandigarh, June 3 (Calcutta Tube) A city-based immigration company in association with a non-government organisation of international students AIESEC is offering scholarships of worth Rs.10 million for 160 students, willing to pursue higher studies in New Zealand.
Healthyway immigration consultant here has offered the scholarships for which students will be short-listed through an aptitude test and the final selection will be made through a lucky draw.
The scholarships are for students of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Delhi and Uttarakhand.
‘The aptitude test will be conducted at 11 cities of Punjab, Haryana, Uttrakhand, Himachal Pradesh and at Delhi till July 31. Students qualifying the aptitude test will become eligible for the scholarship prizes,’ said Amit Kakkar, managing director of Healthyway immigration consultant, here Thursday.
According to officials, the top 10 students in the test will get the first prize of 100 percent tuition fee for one year and the next 20 will be get 75 percent of first year’s tuition fee.
As third prize, 30 students will get 50 percent of their tuition fee and 100 students will get a one-way air ticket to New Zealand and refund of embassy fees as the fourth prize.
Kakkar, whose firm also has branches in Britain, said that the result of the final lucky draw will be announced publicly by a celebrity Aug 7.
Over 3,000 AIESEC volunteers will be engaged in the smooth conduct of this test, which is totally free-of-cost and students with a minimum qualification of Class 10 can appear in it, said Kakkar.
