Uttam kumar as always is seen in his effortless yet beautiful way of presenting himself in front of the camera, and Anjana bhowmick has never been better. Such natural acting relates itself so close to our real lives, that there remains very less difference between the 'reel' and 'real'. This is one movie which promises to entertain all ages, be it the young or the old. Nayika Sangbad is one of the best movies i have seen in my life, and probably one of the best in the bengali film industry in its golden era. However I sometimes feel bad about some other very intelligent and brilliant actors of his time like Anil Chatterjee, Subhendu Chatterjee and to some extent Soumitra Chatterjee too. The craze about Uttam Kumar was so enormous, that sometimes we failed to pay proper credit to the other actors of his time. Sure he was the best and he will remain to be the Best hero Bengali film industry ever seen. He is equally popular even today as he was before. He never died.
