Kolkata, Jan 10 (Calcutta Tube / IBNS) Keeping customer at the centre of its strategy, Sistema Shyam Teleservices (SSTL), is launching “MTS Mobile Handset Doctor”, an on-ground initiative to provide handset service to its customers.
This initiative has been designed to take mobile handset services to the customers’ doorstep.

“ MTS has already crossed 1.5 million customers and we aim to provide the same world class mobile services to our growing subscriber base,” said Tiwary.
‘MTS Mobile Handset doctors’ consist of fully equipped motorbikes with specially trained engineers to facilitate handset servicing at 100 towns across the circle.
Accessories like battery and chargers are also available for replacement. This is aimed to benefit the customers by discounting their need to go to the Authorised Service Centres, especially for those in the remote areas.
The company is using targeted SMSes to promote the activity amongst its existing customer base. These SMSes are being sent to the subscribers in a specific area, which the Motor Bike would visit on a particular date. Accessories like battery and chargers are also available for replacement. There will be total 10 bikes touching base with customers across circle.
This initiative is being piloted in West Bengal with 10 Bikes set to cover 100 towns over the next 30 days.
MTS plans to take this concept to other circles as well to with a view to cater to its customers across India.
