Maruti Suzuki brings another multipurpose vehicle EECO fit for Indian roads which will follow a concept electric version named Eco Charge in October. Passenger car leader Maruti Suzuki Ltd Thursday launched its multipurpose vehicle (MPV) Eeco at an introductory price of Rs.2.59 lakh. The MPV has been designed especially for Indian roads, the company said.

“Maruti Suzuki engineers have specially developed the Eeco, its new powerful engine and a new transmission system to meet the diverse consumer aspirations that look for a vehicle that fit a large family and at the same time provides flexibility for dual use,” Maruti Suzuki India Managing Director and Chief Executive Shinzo Nakanishi told reporters at the 10th Auto Expo here.
The Eeco is powered by a 1,200cc petrol engine, which is compliant with Bharat Stage IV emission norms. The MPV comes with a flexi-design offering – seven seater and five seater options.
Maruti said it will also unveil a concept electric version of the Eeco, named Eco Charge, which will be showcased at the Commonwealth Games this October.
