‘It kinda sounds really dramatic! They did have guns but basically were these two guys and my car was parked… and the chase ended right in front of the car and the guy that I was with tackled one of them to the ground and the police arrested them,’ mirror.co.uk quoted Lewis as saying during an interview.

‘It was scary but I wasn’t in the crossfire or anything like that!’ she added.

The ‘Bleeding Love’ hitmaker also revealed that she had become more safety-conscious after she was assaulted at a book signing.

‘Does it make me more guarded? Um, at first I was very aware but it has definitely made me more aware of my surroundings and looking out for myself and my safety, but I don’t want to be guarded from the people that genuinely care for me and want to meet me,’ she said.
