Koneenica Banerjee inaugurates Cartoon film festival starts in Kolkata
Kolkata, Aug 6 (Calcutta Tube / IBNS) Popular TV actress Koneenica Banerjee, in presence of US Consul General Dean R. Thompson, inaugurated the American Cartoon film festival that commenced on Friday at the American Center in Kolkata with the screening of a movie called “Tangled”.
Thompson addressed the children present in the audience and asked them to have a lot of fun while watching the movies.
“Here is an opportunity for you to forget about all the homework and have some fun,” he remarked.
Addressing the children, Koneenica said: “You guys are really lucky because when we were growing up we had to wait a whole week for watching cartoons but now there are so many animation films let alone cartoons.”
Three more films called “Despicable Me”, “Shrek Forever After “ and “How to train your dragon” will be screened on Aug 12, Aug 19 and Aug 26 respectively.
