Kolkata, July 30 (Calcutta Tube / IBNS) A techno museum on Chaitanya Mahaprabhu is scheduled to be constructed in Kolkata.
Gaudiya Mission, which has initiated the project, unveiled its plans on Thursday by informing that the museum will be built to celebrate the 525th birth anniversary of the 15th century preacher, philosopher and initiator of Vaishnab faith.
“It is our hope that through this effort we will be able to spread various messages of Chaitanyadeb to the present young generation and also the generations to come,” the spokesperson on behalf of the organization said.
The three-storey building spread over 15,000 square feet is touted to become the possessor of cutting-edge modern technology like 3-D diorama, laser shows, virtual museum exhibits, robotics, animation, multimedia content and a space theatre.
Former National Science Council Chairman Saroj Ghosh said “there will be immersive visualization and it would feel as if you (the visitor) are going along with the projections into the past itself.”
The project is expected to cost between Rs 5 to 7 crores and is scheduled to be completed by 2014.
