Mumbai, Feb 18 (Calcutta Tube / IBNS): A photographer from the city Asis Sanyal was declared as the winner for the film photography awards of the Golden Roll contest on Friday.
Photographic equipment company Kodak India in association with Better Photography magazine announced Sanyal a science graduate as the winner for his photograph ‘Captive’.

Kodak India Consumer Business Head Srinivasu Saraswatula said, “Kodak’s journey in film photography has completed 125 years. We continue this journey of innovation with the heritage and the focus to delight our customers and move imaging in new and exciting directions.”
Commenting on the awards, Editor of Better Photography Madhavan Pillai said, “It was a great initiative to partner with Kodak for this unique contest. We had a great time judging the entries.”
He further added, “I would like to congratulate the winners for their splendid piece of work. We received tremendous response for this contest from all over the country and considering the potential in film photography in India, we hope to make this contest an annual feature.”
