The extravaganza of events will commence from August 11 with a day-long rock band fest featuring upcoming bands like Corals, Calcutta Blues, Kashish, Eeshan, PrithbiKorral Reef and Ibn Batuta O Tatar.
Veterans from the industry, like Fossils, Cactus, Lakkhichchara and Krosswindz will grace the occasion to encourage the participants.
Other attractions during the festive week include an exhibition cum sale of rural original products like kantha embroidery, grass products and tribal metal casting art, a “women’s makeover session”, salad making competition, and baul performance by Arjun Khyapa and a band performance by Danpitay.
General Manager (Marketing) Sudarshana Gangulee said, “Since people expect something new on every occasion from us, this time we are celebrating Independence Day with a difference.”
“Apart from the events, we are trying to gift a smile to the face of the orphan children (Future Hope NGO kids) by donating clothes to them and arranging for a sit and draw competition for them,” she said.
