Kolkata, Dec 26 (Calcutta Tube / IBNS): Kolkata hosted the preliminary round of annual inter-collegiate festival “Nokia IndiaFest 2012-Where Heroes are Made” presented by Channel [v] at Presidency University on Friday, followed by the zonals at Goa.
The journey which began from cities like Bengaluru, Chennai and Goa came to Kolkata on Friday.
A combined talent hub, from across 13 colleges, battled it out in a series of competitions to win the challenge for the best.
Beginning from Launchpad to Footloose to Rampage, the eclectic mix of activities kept the students and the audience at tenterhooks.
The fourth day of qualification for the Indiafest finals was a rollercoaster ride for the students and on-lookers.
The day presented a series of competitions ranging from theatre to music to fashion to sport, dance and much more.
The whacky and witty VJ Manish perennially charmed the Kolkata nivasi’s with his quirkiness, wit and style.
As the day came to an end, the winners of the second round of minifest were announced and the stage was set on fire by popular bands – Cassini’s Division’ (popular Kolkata band and runners up in Launchpad season 3 show) and ‘Farid Kot’ (the popular band from New Delhi) who grooved the audience with an irresistible and electrifying performance.
At the end of the show, the winners of the day were announced. And what more…adding on to the excitement was the big enticing reward, the ticket to the Biggest and Coolest Fest of the country.
