Kolkata, August 18 (Calcutta Tube / IBNS) India’s leading fashion and lifestyle destination, Globus Stores, launched its first store in Kolkata recently.
With an investment of around Rs 5 crores, the 11,500 square feet store set up at the Axis Mall in Rajarhat displayed its varied collection of women’s western and ethnic wear, men’s wear, denim wear and kids’ wear.
Globus MD Vinay Nadkarni said, “We strongly believe that for this beautifully changing Kolkata our garments which embrace modernity with an Indian soul- fusion wear, will be a perfect fit.’
“For Puja (Durga Puja) we are shortly introducing some brilliant stuff for young hearts, which will be western styled but with Indian motifs,” he added.
The store offers numerous apparel brands including its own flagship brands globus and F21, and comes at a price ranging from Rs. 199 to Rs. 4000.
“We are the only house with a state-of-the-art design studio and we spend a lot of time developing new trendy clothes,” he remarked.
While commenting on the issue of the quality of goods available, Nadkarni said, “Our quality is something we are fanatical about.”
He informed that they were willing to replace any cloth bought from them if ever a quality issue was raised during the lifetime of the garments.
Nadkarni remarked, “We have a very innovative customer response system and we are always eager to receive a feedback from you.”
Nadkarni expressed his keenness to expand in West Bengal by saying, “Bengal is a very promising market. We are eager to open at least 5 to 6 store across the state with concentration on business in Kolkata.”
