Ko-Upcoming Tamil Movie-Inspired by Russell Crowe starrer State Of Play?

April 19, 2010 (Calcutta Tube): Ko is an upcoming Tamil movie directed by K.V. Anand with Jeeva, Karthika, Ajmal, Piyaa in lead roles. Buzzes are that the film is partially inspired from Hollywood’s best political thriller ‘State of Play’ that featured Russell Crowe as a journalist, who risks his life to save his friend politician from a serious trouble unaware about his true colors.

With Jeeva playing the role of photo journalist, Ajmal is reported to be performing a politician’s role and ‘Goa’ fame Piyaa in another female lead.

Silambarasan was supposed to perform the lead role but has been replaced by Jeeva. Karthika is the daughter of Radha, the actress of yesteryears.

Recently, a bike chasing sequence was canned on Pondicherry highway road with Peter Hein choreographing this action. Throwing lights on this sequence, K.V. Anand said, “As Jeeva enacts the role of a photo journalist, he finds himself in trouble when investigating a mystery as a gang of roughnecks chase him badly.”
