March 15, 2010 (Calcutta Tube): Milap Zaveri for his debut effort as a director, he chose to take an entirely different route. He roped in a fresh pair or Ritiesh Deshmukh and Jacqueline Fernandez, sprinkled the film with funny moments, romantic sequences and youthful songs, and aimed at coming up with a product that would be an ideal recipe of a romcom affair.
Also starring Ruslaan Mumtaz, Sonal Sehgal and Vishal Malhotra in principal roles, ‘Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai’ boasts of a plethora of guest appearance in the form of Farah Khan, Akshay Kumar, Sajid Khan, Amrita Rao, Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra, Anushka Sharma and Vidya Balan. With music by Sajid Wajid and lyrics by Sameer, ‘Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai’ is presented by Warner Bros and is a co-production of Nikhil Advani and Mukesh Talreja. Given the fact that ‘Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai‘ (JKSAH) is a love story at heart, one can well expect the young director to have got into a zone where he understands audience’s pulse.
Milap has either written the script or dialogues of films as diverse as ‘Masti’, ‘Kaante’, ‘Jhankaar Beats’, ‘Naksha’, ‘Heyy Babyy’, ‘Musafir‘ and also ‘Housefull‘.
“I have written quite a few comedies and thrillers in the past but there is something about a love story that always excited me. We worked hard on conceptualising the film, getting the right script in place and executing it to the fullest. Now is the time for audience to provide their verdict”, exclaims Milap who opted for close friend Riteish Deshmukh to star as a male lead in his debut film, “For Riteish too, it’s a nice shift since after a plethora of comic outings, most of which have been successful at the box office, he gets to do a love story.”
Talking fondly about his lead pair in ‘Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai’, Milap adds in a cheerful tone, “I am lucky to have found just the right pairing in the form of Riteish and Jackie in my very first film. In fact Jackie is one girl for whom I can cast on stone that she would be having a great future ahead in Bollywood.”
