Santro Xing is a car manufactured by Hyundai Motors in India. The same version of the car is available in other parts of the world like America and U.K. There it is called as Hyundai Atos and Hyundai Amica respectively. Launched in the market in 1997, this car is very popular among car lovers in India.
Launched in 1999 in the Indian market, the car is aimed at the hatchback segment like other cars – Maruti Wagon R and Alto. The small car segment is the largest segment in the Indian market. Design

Hyundai Epsilon Engine with single overhead Camshaft is the uniqueness of Santo. The output of the car is 5500 rpm @ 62 bhp. It has a torque of 96 Nm at 4000 rpm. The fuel consumption is less and the car delivers 11 / 16 km on city roads. The comfort and ride on the potholed Indian roads is extremely good.

The car is available in 8 variants namely CNG, GL, GL CNG, GLS, GLS CNG, GN LPG Eco. Each variant is suited to different consumer tastes.
Santro Diesel Variant
There are plans to launch Santro Diesel. The launch of the diesel car is much looked forward by Indian Car lovers. With recession in everyone’s heart and mind the diesel car is a natural option for those who want to save on petrol costs. Manufactured at Hyundai’s Chennai Plant the diesel variant is supposed to have an engine capacity of 1400 cc and would be 400 mm in length.
