Hum Phirr Mileinge may be a small film but it has a big heart. It’s a simple tale narrated with utmost sincerity. Debutante director Manish Goel has delivered a good film and has emerged as a superb story teller. With no single moment wasted on unnecessary time pass, it gets straight to the point and moves ahead. After a long time, pure hearted romance has been so effectively captured on screen. The emotional moments are well handled without going melodramatic. The biggest assets of the film are its beautiful songs and effective dialogues. Sandesh Shandilya’s music is amongst his finest till date. He is well aided by lyricist Irshad Kamil. Songs such as Mein Ro Na Padu, Tere Dar Ke Sivah are simply melodious whereas Riya Sen’s item song by Sunidhi Chauhan Sajan Mera is full of zing.
Yesteryears actress and show host Tabassum’s grand daughter Kkhushi is extremely charming in her debut act. She has the right amount of innocence and expressive face and fits the role perfectly. Sarvar Ahuja, the winner of Zee Cinestars Ki Khoj shows tremendous improvement over his last outings. Vikram Gokhale as Kkhushi’s father reminds us of his Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam act. Kiran Kumar is back in form after a long time. Kunal Kumar as Sarvar’s friends brings some good laughs. Riya Sen is super hot in her item song.
After a long time, a film that one can call truly romantic has come out. It’s a pure family entertainer. One just hopes this underdog film gets its right due. Just don’t miss it if you are a true romantic at heart.
