Honda Jazz Car Review-Honda in India
Finally after a lot of speculations and brain storming, the Japanese auto maker Honda has launched Honda Jazz. The B segment small car is an addition to the India-Centric portfolio of Honda. Jazz is also known as Fit in some circles of the Industry. This car does not have the looks which would make the heads turn, but it certainly has style.

The Honda Jazz is not a stunning in terms of comfort, but it is gives a very good ride for a relaxed driver. The gear transmission is little slow and the 1.4 liter engine also does not impress the speed hungry drivers. The interiors are very relaxed and are also spacious. As the Honda calls them, ‘The Magic Seats’ are ultra flexible seats which fold in multiple ways, making more luggage room.
Coming to the dashboard, it almost resembles the one in Honda Civic. The dashboards lacks the digital speedometer and steering mounted controls. The dashboard in Honda Jazz is ergonomically designed. This also creates lots of storage space, making it an ideal utility vehicle for the family.
Jazz is very smooth to drive, but it is soft. The steering control is very accurate and it is also easily maneuverable.

The Honda Jazz comes with 4 cylinders, 16 valves SOHC i-VTEC engine delivering the maximum horsepower of 90ps at 6200rpm. The Jazz delivers 110 Nm of torque at 4800rpm with its powerful has five forward and one reverse manual gear transmission assisting it.
The overall length and height is 3900mm and 1535mm respectively. This structure is supported by McPherson Strut Front suspension and Torsion Beam Axle Rear suspension. It has a full tank capacity of 42liters with a seating capacity of five. Some other specifications include :

Thumbs Up
- With 16kmpl on highway and 13kmpl on the city roads, this is one of the most fuel efficient cars in its segment.
- The interiors are very spacious when compared with the counterparts.
- Of course, when it comes from the Honda stable the quality levels are never compromised. Excellent safety features, like the two front airbags.
Thumbs Down:
- The AC does not come with the climate control system, giving it a major thumbs down.
- The cost of the car is also very high for its segment, this is another major reason why people are not liking it.
