Gorrilaz refuse Katy Perry for album Plastic Beach releasing March 8

English band Gorillaz has refused to collaborate with singer Katy Perry because she is marrying Russell Brand. The group, created by ‘Blur’ star Damon Albarn and artist Jamie Hewlett, was apparently approached by Perry who expressed her desire to collaborate with them on a song for their new album ‘Plastic Beach’releasing March 8.

London, March 5 (Calcutta Tube) English band Gorillaz has refused to collaborate with singer Katy Perry because she is marrying Russell Brand. The group, created by ‘Blur’ star Damon Albarn and artist Jamie Hewlett, was apparently approached by Perry who expressed her desire to collaborate with them on a song for their new album ‘Plastic Beach’ releasing March 8.

‘Katy Perry has been after a guest spot for ages and I tried to turn her down,’contactmusic.com quoted bassist Murdoc Niccals as saying.

‘No, I couldn’t work with the woman while she’s got Russell Brand all over her.’

While other guest collaborators included Lou Reed, Snoop Dogg and Barry Gibb, and Murdoc who claim it was a delight to work with them.
