This year 2009 has brought its own electronic inventions to our homes. Here we present a few electronic marvels that you can use around the house in your daily lives.

Secret Tablet from Microsoft: This sleek tablet is called Courier. This invention comes with two seven-inch screens and a multi-touch interface, rendering it less of a tablet and more of a booklet. Being multi-touch, it is ideal for drawing, writing and apt for use with a finger, if not a stylus. These features are connected by a common home button. It also has a camera at the back which can be charged with an inductive pad.

Portable Induction Cooktop from Fagor: It’s good to use an induction cooktop as they are more energy-saving since they heat faster than electric stovetops. The advantage of using an induction cooktop is that it does not warm the surrounding air, thereby causing fewer injuries and increasing energy efficiency. Instead, by using magnetic induction to warm your pots and pans, it does not burn your clothes or anything else it comes in contact with.

CLIQ: Motorola’s first android phone: The Motorola CLIQ is being touted as the “first phone with social skills.” It has Motorola’s new and absolutely innovative, Android phone called Motoblur. Its integrated widgets are fully integrated with Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, Gmail, Yahoo and Last.fm, among others.

It has a screen size of 3.1″ 320 x 480 and comes with WiFi and a 5 MP camera that can shoot video at 24 frames per second. Its other features include syncing in the air and backups. It adds all your contacts into one address book. The phone is available in two colors—winter white and titanium. Motorola’s CLIQ is a product of an exclusive arrangement with T-Mobile. Internationally, it will be sold under the brand name DEXT and is available on Telefonica, Orange and America Movil.

Plastic Logic Device: Barnes & Noble’s answer to Amazon’s Kindle: Famous American book retailer Barnes and Noble refuses to let Amazon rule the space that Kindle occupies in the ebook reader market. Its ebook application is called PLD or Plastic Logic Device, and assures readers that they can not just enjoy reading their favorite ebooks on this application and on the iPhone and Blackberry.

It is entirely in color and has other promising features too. Whatever its exciting new features may be, the fact that Barnes & Noble are challenging the Kindle space with their product means that the consumer alone is the big beneficiary here.

Your very own air conditioner: If you live in tropical climates, you’d be more comfortable to carry around your very own Handy Cooler personal air conditioner. This sleek, smart device is portable and is loaded with plenty of exciting features that you might never associate with a personal fan. Not only does it bring respite to you in warm weather, but it also continues to give you cool air for long and uninterruptedly, no matter where you are. You could be at work, on a picnic, golfing, sunbathing or just walking down a hot street—go where you will, but take your personal fan with you.

When you’re outdoors with your personal fan, don’t forget to load it with batteries and carry around rechargeable batteries with you. When you’re indoors either at work or at home, connect it through your USB. This works particularly well when you’re seated in a cubicle where the air conditioning doesn’t reach.
