Filtered water for all Chandigarh government schools

Chandigarh, Sep 4 (Calcutta Tube) All 106 government schools in the union territory of Chandigarh will soon have the facility of water filters to provide safe drinking water to students.

The first of these water filters was inaugurated by Chandigarh’s Education Secretary Ram Niwas at the Government Model Senior Secondary School in Sector 20-D.

The water filters will be installed in all 106 government schools here in the next three months and nearly 200,000 students will have safe, filtered drinking water available to them in their respective institutions.

The water filters are being installed with the help of the Rotary Club Chandigarh and its US partner, the Rotary Club of Coral Gables.
