Anu was releases in 1998 in Calcutta. This is one the bengali film that I watched in the movie hall. A classic movie directed by Shatarupa Sanyal. She also wrote the story, did the music direction in the film too. The story revolves around a girl “Anu” (Indrani Haldar) and her fight against society. While she was able to save Nirmalya, an activist, but she was raped by wrong people looking for the”leader” Nirmalya. Her husband was locked up in jail for his activities under a social group. Anu was able to save her husband but could not save herself from social stigma of being raped. However, she was very open minded and thought that at least her husband should not have any problem in future. After long time, her husband was released from jail and come to stay with Indrani Haldar again. He could not stand the fact that his wife was once raped! A classic film that will portray the social status of women in Bengal Society very well. A must watch film for all.

The Incredible Hulk (2008)

The Incredible Hulk is a 2008 superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character the Hulk, which was released on June 13, 2008. It is directed by Louis Leterrier and stars Edward Norton as Dr. Bruce Banner / the Hulk, Liv Tyler as Betty Ross, William Hurt as General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross and Tim Roth as Emil Blonsky. The film follows Banner as he flees the pursuit of General Ross while attempting to find a cure to rid himself of the Hulk. When Blonsky personally volunteers to be injected with Banner’s gamma formula to aid Ross in his capture, he becomes an even greater monster, and Banner must accept his inner beast to defeat Blonsky.

After the 2003 film Hulk, Marvel Studios reacquired the rights to the character, and writer Zak Penn began work on a loose sequel that would be much closer to the comics and the television series. Norton rewrote the script after he signed on to star, severing all ties to its predecessor by retelling the origin story in flashbacks and revelations, thereby establishing the film as a reboot. Leterrier’s direction aimed to make the monsters look more realistic and frightening. He redesigned Blonsky’s monstrous gamma-irradiated form — called the Abomination in the comics — from a reptilian humanoid into a mutated man with bony protrusions. Filming mostly took place in Toronto, Canada in 2007, where the production attempted to be environmentally friendly.

1. Kailashe Kelenkari was released in 2007 but we still could not find a CD release for the movie, You can read more news about Kailashe Kelenkari and Tentative movie release time HERE.
2. Tintoretor Jishu (Tentative release date: 12 December, 2008) is now complete. Sandip Roy just came back to Calcutta with his team from Hongkog after shooting end part of the movie.
3. After Tintoretor Jishu, Feluda will be seen again in 2010. Next Feluda movie will be either “Gorosthane Sabdhan” or “Joto Kando Kathmandute“.
4. All Satyajit Roy movies were previously deleted from youtube. They may still delete these recently uploaded movies too. Please do not request us to “re-upload”. We DO NOT upload any movies to any site.
5. Finally we came to know that our lovely Topshe (Parambrata) has broken his leg and can not walk properly at this moment. However he broke his leg after the completion of Tintoretor Jishu. So, let us pray for a sppedy recovery for Parambrata Chakrabarty!

Sandip Roy has been very successful in making Feluda Movies. All of the Feluda Stories are written by his father Satyajit Roy, who himself made multiple Feluda movies where Soumitra Chatterjee was featured as Feluda and Santosh Dutta was featured as Lalmohon Ganguly. After the death of Santosh Dutta, Satyajit never made any more Feluda movies as he could not replace the character of Lalmohn Ganguly with somebody else. Sontosh Dutta was so natural, so energetic and so perfect as Lalmohon Ganguly that we still miss him a lot. Later, Sabyasachi Chatterjee replaced Soumitra Chatterjee as Feluda and has done remarkably well. However, the replacement of Santosh Dutta by Rabi Ghosh was not that great.

In 2003, Sandip Roy made the next Feluda Movie - Bombaiyer Bombete. There are some changes in this movie too. First of all, our previous character of Lalmohon Ganguly was done by Rabi Ghosh. He passed away unfortunately. So, we have yet the 3rd series of Lalmohon Ganguly with us. Bibhu Bhattacharya now replaced Rabi Ghosh as Lalmohon Ganguly. Bibhu Bhattacharya is even worse than Rabi Ghosh as Lalmohon Ganguly. For whatever reason, Bibhu Bhattacharya always overdo things that he probably should not and many times his comic expressions are too bold (disgusting?).

We have one more important change in this film too. Parambrata Chakrabarty is now replaced Saswata Chatterjee who did Topshe in Baksha Rahasya. Well, we are not too much concerned about Topshe character. Feluda still remains as Sabyasachi Chakrabarty.

Sandip Roy started the film Tintoretor Jishu first however finished Kailashe Kelenkary before completing Tintoretor Jishu. We do not any changes in the characters of Feluda, Topshe or Lalmohon Ganguly this time and looks like we have a nice combination going on here.

The first movie we select is called “Opera House“. It was released way back in 1961. It was directed by P.L Santoshi and produced by A.A Nadiawala. The legendary “Chitra Gupta” did music direction in this film. Well we can all imagine our singers at that period, they were Lata Mangeshkar, Mukesh and Mohammed Rafi.
