Kolkata, Jan 27 (Calcutta Tube / IBNS): Cotton Council International (CCI), a non-profit organization devoted to the promotion of cotton in India, on Thursday declared the Kolkata finalists for the fashion design contest – ‘Let’s Design’ Season 3.
This contest is taking place at regional levels and the top 16 winners from different regions will stay under one roof in a ‘Reality House’.
Here, the finalists will be judged on their execution of various tasks given to them to test their skill, passion and creativity.
The winner will be launched by Indian fashion house, Kimaya across its various stores in India and Dubai.
The contest was judged by fashion designers Agnimitra Paul and Kallol Datta along with Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez.
Naming the winners Prabhat and Srestha, Jacqueline said, “Declaring regional winners along with the eminent designers was a tough job since all designs showcased today were unique in their own way.”
She also added that she is very happy to be associated with Let’s Design since cotton is her favourite fabric and India has a very strong cotton heritage.
Speaking on this occasion, Agnimitra Paul said, “ It is very nice concept from the Cotton Council International of promoting cotton. It depicts how glamorous cotton can be.”
She also thanked the CCI for giving her the opportunity to work with young designers.
Kallol Datta said, “ I would like to congratulate Cotton Council International for creating and building on a property like Let’s Design for budding designers to showcase their innovations. I am also very excited to see cotton getting focus.”
