Jishu Sengupta

Date of Birth: January 23rd, 1978
Jishu Sengupta (Bengali:), professionally known as Jishu, is a Bengali film actor. He was married to Nilanjana in 2002. They first met during the shooting of a telefilm “Basundhara” in September 2002.  Nilanjana is the elder daughter of Anjana Bhowmick who is also a Bengali film actress in Bengali Film Industry.

Lately Jisshu Sengupta successfully pairing up with Koel Mullick (Daughter of Ranjit Mullick). Love (2008) was one one the most successful Tollywood Film of the year. The couple also did “Bor Aashbe Ekhuni” in 2008 too.

Jisshu has recently replaced Prosenjit to anchor the reality show Lux Fatafati Filmy Fight (F3) on ETV Bangla. F3 would have marked Prosenjit’s debut on the small screen had he not abandoned the project after the show’s producers Rajiv Mehra and Gau tam Jain were arrested on a murder charge in August this year.

Jisshu Sengupta has become choosy about his films these days and doing film with good story and character. Lately the most important film for Jisshu was the ” The Last Lear” by director Ritoporno Ghosh where Jisshu shared screen space with Amitabh Bacchan. Jisshu Sengupta Played the role of an journalist in the movie. His another film with Rituporno Ghosh called “Shob Choritro Kalponik” is waiting to be released soon. In this film Jisshu has worked opposite to Bipasha Basu.

Jisshu has worked on numerous bengali films and TV serials.
