Emraan Hashmi, Prosenjit starrer ‘Shanghai’ slated to release in June

Mumbai, Feb 7 (Calcutta Tube / IBNS): PVR Pictures has announced that they will release Dibakar Banerjee’s film ‘Shanghai’ starring Bollywood actors Emraan Hashmi, Abhay Deol, Kalki Koechlin, and Tollywood superstar Prosenjit Chatterjee in the lead roles. The film will hit the siver screen on June 8, 2012.

The movie is based on the life of politicians and their greed and has been inspired by the Costa Gavras directed movie Z, released in 1969.

The movie talks about the present roller coaster expose of big money politics and how the common man gets his revenge back.

Director Dibakar Banerjee said: “Frankly I have been stunned by the performances from our stars and our character artistes. I can safely say that all preconceived notions that people have about both Abhay and Emraan are going to be shattered by this movie.”
