Kolkata, Feb 11 (Calcutta Tube / IBNS): TI Cycles of India, a part of the Murugappa Group, launched a battery operated electrical bicycle here on Thursday.
TI Cycles President D.Raghuram said that this was an initiative to join the movement of making India greener and a cleaner place to live in.

In order to spread awareness the employees of the company led by Raguram initiated an expedition starting from Bhubaneswar to Burdhawan.
Raghuram on the occasion said, “With the increasing petrol prices and pressure on the infrastructure due to urbanisation, people will start to look for cheaper and convenient modes of transportation. Our product is designed to satisfy their needs.”
The electric cycle works with the help of rechargeable batteries, which can run upto 30 kms per charge at a maximum speed of 25 kms/hour.
