Kolkata, December 5, 2010 (Calcutta Tube/IBNS) Eduworld Kolkata, an education fair that for the first time offered spot admissions to 15 schools,
“For the first time in the city we are offering spot admissions to the participating schools. Our goal is to make the experience a lot easier for parents,” said B P Mishra, chief executive of Vardaan Events, the organisers.
“Everything from a parenting seminar, spot admissions and even stalls of educational supplies and equipment shall be available under one roof,” he said.
The fair will be held from Nov. 19 – 21 at the Milan Mela Complex here and will see participation from 15 schools from preschool to the 12th grade.
Coaching institutes, school supplies companies and such will also participate in the event.
“We also have two seminars for parents. A seminar on corporal punishment and another one on parenting,” Mishra informed.
In its first year, Eduworld will see participation from a host of schools, including Doon Global School, Akademia, Indus Valley World School, B D Memorial Institute, among others.
“The response from the schools has been great and if the concept takes off, we are planning to take the fair to cities like Guwahati, SIliguri, Chandigarh, Jaipur and others,” said Mishra.
