Dibrugarh-New Delhi Rajdhani Express hits a three-wheeler

Patna, Oct 9, 2010 (Calcutta Tube/IBNS)  At least seven people were killed when the Dibrugarh-New Delhi Rajdhani Express hit a three-wheeler at a level crossing in Bihar’s Katihar district on Saturday, police and railway officials said.

The locomotive, speeding at an estimated 100 kmph, hit the central part of the packed autorickshaw leading to the accident at Khaira under Dandakhora police station, Divisional Commercial Manager, North Frontier Railway (Katihar), A K Sinha said.

Mangled bodies of the victims were littered all around.

The NF Railway and local police station have ordered separate inquiries to find out the cause of the accident.
