Few cotton outfits by Dev R Nil was showcased at the event.

Nil said, “We are supporting this initiative to promote cotton and we want to customize cotton. All the collection is interwoven with cotton.”

“We want to encourage young designers to use cotton. Take the basic material i.e. cotton and present it extraordinarily,” he added.

Dev said, “We played with all the colours and especially with strips in cotton using colour blocking techniques and by combining colours. There is also Batik print in contemporary form of cotton.”

“Some of the cotton outfits have little bit of silk, linen or lycra fabric combined with it but incorporating cotton as the major fabric,” Dev said.

The theme for this season reality design series Let’s Design contest is ‘Design for your icon,’ and it will only incorporate cotton.

Person above 18 years of age can apply for the contest,  which will be aired on Zoom channel.
