New Delhi, May 17 (Calcutta Tube) A 45-year-old head constable of Delhi Police allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree in north Delhi early Monday, police said.
‘Subhash Chandran was found hanging from a tree near his barrack in Civil Lines by a colleague around 11 a.m.,’ a police official said.
Chandran was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him dead.
According to police, a suicide note was recovered, in which Chandran said that he was committing suicide of his own will.
‘Family problems might be behind his (Chandran) taking the extreme step,’ the police official said.

Chandran is survived by his wife and two children. They stay in Kerala.
