New Delhi, July 13 (IANS) Now, consumers in many parts of the coutry can get cooking gas delivered at their houses at their convenience.
Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Murli Deora Tuesday launched a new scheme under which domestic customers can get delivery of cooking gas refills at their choice of time and day at an additional nominal cost.
The service is initially being launched in Delhi, Gurgoan, Noida, Faridabad, Sonepat, Ghaziabad, Pune and Bangalore, and will be extended to Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, and Ahmedabad by end July. The rest of the country may get this scheme by the end of the year.
According to a ministry press release, home delivery for cooking gas cylinders will be the largest such system in the world.
Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas Jitin Prasada added that the scheme is optional.
