Short Review:
Mr. Fanroosh is another movie for the lovers of Macho Prosenjit. Yes, he is in a double role after some again! The first Prosenjit is a young and simple engineer who does not know nasty tricks in human life. He falls in love with Rachana Banerjee and started romancing around gardens when the villain Hara Pattanaik kills him due to his role in a illegal real-estate project. Prosenjit 2 comes into picture with the dialogue “Ami Mari Ekdin, aar Batha Thake Tinso Poinshotti Din”! However, the movie is proper for a die hard Prosenjit fan who wants to see Prosenjit in eary twenties while he is some forty plus but still manages to do hardcore action and comedy at the same time.  The ending of the film is full of drama. When the “crimilal hero Mr. Fantoosh Prosenjit” turns out to be a police officer and who finally recovers “innocent Palash Prosenjit” in a wheelchair!

Attraction: Rachana Benerjee + Swastika Mukherjee.

Outline: Swastika and Rachana are sisters and belog to a Jamindar Family. There is no special story in this film. After the death of Jamindar Chowdhury, Mama (Manoj Mitra)-Mami  want to deprive everybody for property.And then the usual melodrama!

We saw Rachana - Swastika last time probably in the movie “Criminal (2005)” directed by Shankar Roy where Prosenjit was the lead hero. Locket was too hot in this film specially in the swimming pool scenes where she dropped her cloths one by one! We hope to see some nice chemistry between Rachana and Swastika in this film and hopefully will be a good film to watch.

I have been trying to compile some of the best and successful couples from Tollywood Calcutta! However, here is the first set containing Hit Bangla Jodi Ferdous and Priyanka Tribedi (I love her, lol). This couple is a hot favorite in many Basu Chatterjee Movies like Hothat Brishti and so on. My Another compilation is Prasenjit-Rachana Banerjee and Prasenjit-Koyel Mullick. Koyel Mullick looks better beside Jeet thought. Ferdous-Priyana - very successful couple in Basu Chatterjee films.

Prasenjit and Rachana’s Bangla Film “SATHI AMAR” was kind of good. They many multiple successful films together. Koyel does not look very impressive with Prasenjit. It just does not work. She looks lot brighter with Jeet. She looked fine with DEB too in “Premer Kahini”.

90 Ghanta and Jor, Janmadata Released In Calcutta

90 Ghanta is now running in Calcutta. The movie is directed by Saugata Roy Barman. It has good star cast including: Jishu Sengupta, Swastika Mukherjee, Tota Roychowdhury, Manjushree Ganguly and many more. You can watch the movie at MITRA movie hall. 12 pm | 3 pm | 6 pm | 8.30 pm 4 shows everyday (in February). Another “big” release is JOR - directed by Swapan Saha. Jeet (who has been so far the best bengali hero by website poll along with Mithun Chakrabarty) is the main attaction in the movie. Jeet is really a very hard working actor and got good potential. Varsha Priadarshi, Subrat Dutta and Dipankar Dey are some of his co-stars in this film. You can watch JOR at “BIJALI CIMENA HALL”, “CHABIGHAR”, “MINAR, shyambazar”, “PADMA, Sodepur”, “PUSPASHREE, Behala” . Looks like a good time for bengali movie lovers as we also have Kailashe Kelenkari in Calcutta Too!
