Note:

1. Kailashe Kelenkari was released in 2007 but we still could not find a CD release for the movie, You can read more news about Kailashe Kelenkari and Tentative movie release time HERE.
2. Tintoretor Jishu (Tentative release date: 12 December, 2008) is now complete. Sandip Roy just came back to Calcutta with his team from Hongkog after shooting end part of the movie.
3. After Tintoretor Jishu, Feluda will be seen again in 2010. Next Feluda movie will be either “Gorosthane Sabdhan” or “Joto Kando Kathmandute“.
4. All Satyajit Roy movies were previously deleted from youtube. They may still delete these recently uploaded movies too. Please do not request us to “re-upload”. We DO NOT upload any movies to any site.
5. Finally we came to know that our lovely Topshe (Parambrata) has broken his leg and can not walk properly at this moment. However he broke his leg after the completion of Tintoretor Jishu. So, let us pray for a sppedy recovery for Parambrata Chakrabarty!

Sandip Roy has been very successful in making Feluda Movies. All of the Feluda Stories are written by his father Satyajit Roy, who himself made multiple Feluda movies where Soumitra Chatterjee was featured as Feluda and Santosh Dutta was featured as Lalmohon Ganguly. After the death of Santosh Dutta, Satyajit never made any more Feluda movies as he could not replace the character of Lalmohn Ganguly with somebody else. Sontosh Dutta was so natural, so energetic and so perfect as Lalmohon Ganguly that we still miss him a lot. Later, Sabyasachi Chatterjee replaced Soumitra Chatterjee as Feluda and has done remarkably well. However, the replacement of Santosh Dutta by Rabi Ghosh was not that great.

In 2003, Sandip Roy made the next Feluda Movie - Bombaiyer Bombete. There are some changes in this movie too. First of all, our previous character of Lalmohon Ganguly was done by Rabi Ghosh. He passed away unfortunately. So, we have yet the 3rd series of Lalmohon Ganguly with us. Bibhu Bhattacharya now replaced Rabi Ghosh as Lalmohon Ganguly. Bibhu Bhattacharya is even worse than Rabi Ghosh as Lalmohon Ganguly. For whatever reason, Bibhu Bhattacharya always overdo things that he probably should not and many times his comic expressions are too bold (disgusting?).

We have one more important change in this film too. Parambrata Chakrabarty is now replaced Saswata Chatterjee who did Topshe in Baksha Rahasya. Well, we are not too much concerned about Topshe character. Feluda still remains as Sabyasachi Chakrabarty.

Sandip Roy started the film Tintoretor Jishu first however finished Kailashe Kelenkary before completing Tintoretor Jishu. We do not any changes in the characters of Feluda, Topshe or Lalmohon Ganguly this time and looks like we have a nice combination going on here.

“Damu” was the debut film by Raja sen. He was born in 1955. He graduated from Calcutta University and then started his career in film making. Damu was based on a novel by Narayan Gangpashyay, well known for writing numerous children classics. Raja Sen is known among the serious film makers since the beginning. This movie features multiple extraordinary actors from tollywood including Manoj Mitra, Sabyasachi Chakrabarty, Satya Banerjee and more. In 1972, there was a Bengali Movie “Janatar Adalat” made by Madhukar. Now it is time for “Director/Music Director/Lyricist/Producer” Manoj Thakur to make a film with the same brand name. Manoj Thakur has been a well known lyricist in Tollywood for his work in ” Janam Janamer Sathi”, “Phool aar Pathor”, “Mahasatisabitri” and more. His first film as a director, Janatar Adalat was done two years back and releasing in Calcutta today (June 20th, 2008).

This again proves that we probably still do not have enough movie halls that are willing to release Bengali films simply due to less profit by releasing Bengali films. Sometimes there are other issues associated with a late release but we definitely need more movie halls dedicated to release Bengali films in Calcutta. This is the time when after a long time-gap, people are going back to movie halls to watch Bengali Films. Now, even the Bengali Film producers are spending huge money on Bengali Films which is reflected by much improvement in camera, picture quality, sound effects, animations and so on.

The movie starts Jishu Sengupta, Indrani Dutta, Sabyasachi Chakrabarty, Dulal Lahidi and more. The story is based on “unemployment” condition in Calcutta. There are five young people without a job and they start their fight against a corrupt MLA - Dulal Lahidi. While the story seems heard numerous times, I will still recommend the film simply because Jishu Sengupta. He is a very passionate actor with a great sense of humor.

The film was completely shot in Howrah, Calcutta and Baruipur.

Kailashe Kelenkari (2007) - Latest Feluda movie running in Calcutta/Review
Sandip Roy stopped making “Titoretor Jishu” and made “Kailashe Kelenkari” insted! Well, I have not seen the movie yet. But the movie is running in Priya Cinema. Sabsachi Chatterjee played the main role of Feluda while Bhibu Bhattacharya played Lalmohon Babu charecter. I am waiting to watch the movie. If you have seen the movie, please reply and let us know how did you like the latest feluda film.
