Well, the best part of Bengali movies is this - You Do Not Have To Watch The Film to write a review!!! You would pretty much know all about the story the the Title. Simple “Ghar Jamai” means should be a family type drama with some sentimental scenes. Prasenjit is the hero, so some break dance and fight scenes. Abhishek is also there, so might be some “Yeh Dosti, Hum Nehi Chorenge”…
Anup Sengupta is the director. Still his name is not so famous. More famous if Gautam Susmit for making numerous loud musical tunes in Bengali Films. It is surprsing that Ghar Jamai released the same day with another Prasenjit movie Khela by Rituporna Ghosh. There is nothing special about the movie. So, if you are not going to watch it, I would not blame too much.

I have been trying to compile some of the best and successful couples from Tollywood Calcutta! However, here is the first set containing Hit Bangla Jodi Ferdous and Priyanka Tribedi (I love her, lol). This couple is a hot favorite in many Basu Chatterjee Movies like Hothat Brishti and so on. My Another compilation is Prasenjit-Rachana Banerjee and Prasenjit-Koyel Mullick. Koyel Mullick looks better beside Jeet thought. Well, it is just some compilations, we be making more soon that you can use in your desktop background!
Ferdous-Priyana - very successful couple in Basu Chatterjee films.
Prasenjit and Rachana’s Bangla Film “SATHI AMAR” was kind of good. They many multiple successful films together. Koyel does not look very impressive with Prasenjit. It just does not work. She looks lot brighter with Jeet. She looked fine with DEB too in “Premer Kahini”.
Give us some examples of other successful couples in Bengali films. We will make more photo features!

Swapan Saha has been directing and relesing too many films these days. Just few months back we had “JOR” starring Jeet, “JANMADATA” starring Jishu Sengupta and Razzak, “AMAR PRATIGGYA” starring Priyanshu and Priyanka Tribedi, and now we have “GOALMAAL“.
Well there must have been some “goalmaal” somewhere as the “comedy” film Goalmaal looked liked an action film and not doing any good at any movie halls. It is supposed to be a comedy of errors where everybody loves someone who loves somebody else!! Prasanjit and Tota are brothers of Barsha. Jishu Sengupta Fell in love with Barsha. Tota them fell in love with Namrata who fell in love with Prasenjit! Well it is too complex to explain! I love Priyanka Tribedi too much. She is the only reason I could watch the movie ONCE.
It is reported to be a “remake” of Telegu film “Hanuman Junction“!!

Khela — The Game! Storyline is based on a busy film maker and his personal life. Prasenjit is very busy in making various flms and he could not manage any time for his wife Monisha Koirala. Monisha wants a baby to overcome her boredom. But her husband does not permit. Things started to change when Prasenjit started making film with a child actor.
Raja (Prasenjit) was a idealistic film maker who never compromised anything for his work. He found out that he needs a child actor to a particular part of the film. One day he found a boy buying foods in the street. Prasenjit determines he needs that boy in his film. He talked to the parents of the child to act in his film. The poor parents did not allow. However, the little boy wanted to do the film. So, they ran away together. Now, the police is after them.
Well, looks like it would be sort of a thriller movie and we all know how good “Rituparno Ghosh” is directing films. The film has been stuck for 3 years and could not release for various reasons. Prasenjit said that it is a very “different” Rituparno Movie. Lets wait for few weeks now!
